Message: i'm a student at booker t. washington high school, and i'd like to let you know that this touched me in a very positive way. it was very emotional to me because, i to have lost someone i love to a drunk driver. a little more than a year ago, tyler mccoy, one of my best friends were killed and that was honestly one of the worst moments of my life. i understand your pain and your suffereing. it can be very hard, and you are a very strong women. i have much respect for you to have the courage to go and talk about these things with students and share your story. you have touched my heart and this has forever changed my view on drunk driving and drinking in general. it was a very emotional assembly for me, but seeing you talk about it with such strength made me feel like we can all get through anything, even when we feel like we can't. you and your family will forever be in my heart. as for eric, i have much respect for him to admit that it was his fault and taking responsibility for his actions was a good start to him growing up and becoming a man. i hope that you help other teens and adults realize that drinking and driving CAN lead to bad things no matter how careful you are.
